– Hemingway’s footsteps
(half day, from Havana)

The excursion begin with a ride in an American old-timer to the Hemingway Marina located in the western part of Havana. We will find there the place of the writer’s famous meeting with Fidel Castro. Nearby we will stop for photos in the fabulous Fusterlandia – a colorful district created by the Cuban – José Rodríguez Fuster, inspired by the works of artists such as Pablo Picasso and Antonio Gaudí. Then we will go to the fishing village of Cojimar, from where the writer went fishing on his yacht El Pilar. This place became the inspiration for his novella „The Old Man and the Sea”. After a short walk from the Las Terrazas bar, where Hemingway met with local fishermen, to his bust placed in a seaside gazebo, we will go to Finca Vigía – a residence that currently houses the oldest and largest museum in the world dedicated to the American Nobel Prize winner. The last ride will take us to the old town, where during a walk we will visit Hemingway’s favorite bars – La Bodeguita del Medio and El Floridita as well as the Ambos Mundos hotel, where the writer rented room 511 for 7 years. The price of the tour includes 3 coctails! Farewell to the guide at Obispo street, which has numerous souvenir shops, bars and restaurants. Return to your accommodation on your own.
