Description of the activity

An incredible opportunity to attend the „Legends of Guajirito” concert, during which stars associated with the Buena Vista Social Club project will perform live and traditional Cuban music from the genres of son, danzón, mambo, cha cha cha and rumba. You will listen to timeless hits performed by famous Cuban artists, including:

Luis Barzaga – singer and drummer, founder of the Sierra Maestra group and member of the Afro-Cuban All Stars project. He has performed in over 70 countries around the world. Nominated for a Grammy Award in 2010. In 1994, the Sierra Maestra group released the album „Dundumbanza”, produced by Nick Gold. From that moment on, the orchestra also began to cooperate with Ry Cooder on the Buena Vista Social Club project (Grammy Award in 1998).
Habanita artistic group – founded in 1993, associated with Cuban and Afro-Caribbean music (cha cha cha, mambo, salsa, Latin jazz, etc.). The group gave its performances in the main tourist centers of the country, radio and television, as well as in Japan, Guatemala, Poland, Russia, Serbia and Macedonia. They performed together with Compay Segundo from the Buena Vista Social Club group.
The Caña Santa Orchestra – which has toured over 50 times since its foundation in 2000, sharing the stage with stars such as Oscar D León, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Juan Luis Guerra, Willy Colón, Compay Segundo, Barbarito Torres, Eliades Ochoa, Omara Portuondo and Manolito Simonet.
Alden Knight – renowned actor and singer, promoting Cuban culture and historical values.
Luis Valiente (Betún) – drummer and showman collaborating with Arturo Sandoval, the Tropicana cabaret and the Buena Vista Social Club project (especially with Cachaíto López and Pío Leyva). He also participated in numerous international jazz festivals.
Félix Baloy – sonero from birth; soloist of numerous Cuban music groups and member of the Buena Vista Social Club band.
Tete García Caturla – born in 1937, daughter of the famous composer Alejandro Evelio García Caturla. She began her career in the Las D’Aidas quartet, alongside Omara Portuondo, Xioma Valdés and Lilita Peñalver. She traveled all over the world on tours with the Afro-Cuban All Stars project.
And many others: the artistic group Fiebre Latina, clarinetist Javier Zalba, saxophonist Alfred Thompson, singers Ernesto Bacallao, Virgilio Valdés and Lazaro Villa Morgan, singers Xiomara Valdés and Maida Mitchell.

During the concert, there will be a dinner with 3 drinks to choose from and entertainment led by a dancing couple. Let yourself be carried away by Cuban rhythms!
