Meeting with the guide near the Central Park or Old Havana and going to one of the local markets, where you will get to know Cuban fruits and vegetables and learn how the islanders obtain the necessary food products. Then we will reach the terrace of a friendly casa particular (private accommodation), where over a drink the hosts will tell you a bit about the history and tradition of Cuban cuisine, the most commonly used ingredients and the most popular local dishes. After such an introduction, under the supervision of specialists, you will start preparing an appetizer and a main course with side dishes (most often frituras de malanga, arroz congrí, ropa vieja and salad – depending on the available ingredients). The highlight of the program will be the tasting of the prepared dishes and dessert and coffee, which the hosts will treat you to.
